Dear Community,
At Wellity Education, we believe in the power of yoga to help transform our emotional, mental, and physical health. So, we are enthusiastically celebrating National Yoga Month during September. This annual observance is a great opportunity to share your love of yoga with family, friends, colleagues, and students.
Wellity Education defines yoga as breathing, moving, and relaxing for K-12 students. Through our curriculum, students build their toolbox of yoga strategies to support their well-being. This month, we invite you to remind students that they can use their tools anytime, anywhere because all they need is their breath and attention. They can carry their tools with them everywhere.
To help you celebrate, check out some fun resources to support your students!

For Educators
Educators, we know that many of you have a personal yoga practice. When we started Wellity Education, we traveled to India to observe yoga in Bangalore Schools. During our studies, we read Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, an instructional text for classical yoga dating from somewhere between 5,000 B.C. and 300 A.D. They offer this definition of yoga.
“Yoga is the cessation of fluctuations of the mind.”
We hope that moving your body with rhythm and repetition helps you still your mind. Here are some tools to help you deepen your practice.
