What makes Wellity Education’s mindfulness curriculum unique?
There are 40 lessons in this curriculum that are designed to be flexibly implemented Wellity Education’s mindfulness curriculum is designed to be integrated into the classroom with ease. It is organized by grade bands K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 to teach mindfulness to support K-12 social-emotional skills. Units are aligned with social-emotional learning standards, and can be flexibly incorporated into weekly instruction.
How long are lessons?
Lessons for elementary school students are 15 minutes long. Lessons for middle school and high school students are 20 minutes long. Students are given the choice to practice mindfulness from either a chair, desk, or the floor.
Should lessons be taught in order?
There are 40 mindfulness lessons designed to be flexibly implemented based on the unique needs of educators and students. We recommend teaching the lessons in sequential order if you are able to teach the entire 40-week curriculum. However, each unit can also be taught as a stand alone unit. Individual lessons teach a different mindful tool, so you might choose a lesson based on the tool you’d like to teach. Use the Scope and Sequence to help plan your instruction.

What do I need to get started?
Everything you need to get started is included in your Wellity Education membership. Each grade band is organized by color, and each unit is a shade of that color, to create an ombre effect. All teaching materials are available to download and print, including lessons, posters, notebooks, and caregiver letters.

What if I teach more than one grade?
You have access to all of Wellity Education’s mindfulness curriculum materials to support K-12 students.
